Innervisions is releasing three remixes of Manoo and Raoul K's track "Toukan," featuring Ahmed Sosso.
Label boss Dixon is behind two versions of the tune and Trikk, a Portuguese artist who made his Innervisions debut late last year, offers his own dub. Raoul K had sent the original production to the label, and as the Hamburg-based West African producer and Baobab Music founder explained in a recent interview, Dixon shortened the song before crafting his own versions, which measure seven and eight minutes in length.
The record marks the first appearance on Innervisions for Raoul K as well as French house producer Manoo and Sosso. Fans of the label might recall Dixon often working the 2014 track "Sene Kala"—produced by Raoul K and Laolu for the former's Still Living In Slavery LP on Baobab—into his sets.
