- The LP, out in October, explores the Austin artist's Iranian heritage through samples and instrumentation.
VVV's next album will land in October.
Shadow World is Austin-based Shawhin Izaddoost's second album, following 2011's Across The Sea. The LP keeps his identifiable two-step sound, but this time embellishes it with samples of classic Iranian instruments. The press release also says that Izaddoost designed each track on the album to be a movement in a larger whole.
It's Izaddoost's second release on Holodeck Records, the label home to artists like Marie Davidson and S U R V I V E, after the Why El Paso Sky cassette earlier this year. (Shadow World will come on vinyl.) Izaddoost has already had a busy 2017, with split releases with Holly and Sangam under his belt.
