- The collection comes around the same time as the Sheffield label's landmark 50th release.
Sheffield's Central Processing Unit, or CPU, is celebrating five years in operation with a compilation of remixes.
CPU Remixes will be the first time our recent label of the month puts out a proper remix. There's 13 of them in all, from a range of affiliates including B12, Morphology, Plant43 and Annie Hall. Also featured is a rework of a Tryphème track from Microlith, AKA Maltese producer Rhys Celeste, who passed away earlier this year.
The compilation will come out in September on double-vinyl and digital formats. CPU is selling an anniversary T-shirt as well, but only during pre-orders.
Also on the way, and due out next month, is CPU's landmark 50th release, which sees label boss Chris Smith rebuilding a couple old Detromental tracks.
Listen to Noumen's remix of the B12 tune "Step Inside" over at Bandcamp.
