Tonight, ProtonRadio launches a new monthly show, eXpressions, hosted by young up-and-coming Irish DJ/producer, Don Patrick, who will present an alternative view of the dance music scene in the Asia-Pacific region as he uncovers the best new techy prog, house, techno and melodic breaks from DJs, producers and labels in the Far East and the land of the Antipodes.
Resident DJ at weekly After Hours party Ogenki in Tokyo in the summer of 2003, the 24 year old Dubliner has supported Hernan Cattaneo and Chris Fortier and has also played at two of Asia's biggest and best clubs, AgeHa and Womb, where he has played at leading progressive parties in Renaissance and Session, in addition to various other venues around Tokyo. Beginning on Don Patrick's own 'Eclipse', the mix features the highly anticipated 'Lost In Vegas' by Ryan Papa and Jeff Drake, exclusive tracks from Melbourne's Rael Borg - winner in the first round of the Slinky Future DJ competition - and Music Now Records' DJ/producer Tszpun from Hong Kong. Also the latest tracks and remixes from Japan's Ken Ishii and Australia's current hottest exports Infusion. This month's guest mixes come from Hong Kong and Indonesia with 1-hour sets from Tszpun and Jakarta DJ/promoter DJ Naro.
eXpressions will be aired every second Friday of the month at 9AM - 12PM (US EST) 10PM - 1AM (Japan time) 11PM - 2AM (Aus EST).
