The re-release of the 1990 LP follows the recent reissue of Takada's solo opus, Through The Looking Glass.
The LP is coming on WRWTFWW Records, which along with Palto Flats jointly reissued the Japanese experimental artist's 1983 album, Through The Looking Glass. On Lunar Cruise, which originally came out on Epic, Takada worked with Masahiko Satoh, a jazz pianist, composer and arranger. It'll come out on vinyl, with a bonus CD that includes an extra track called "Iron Paradise."
On Lunar Cruise, Takada played marimbas and other percussion, with Satoh using Korg M1 and Yamaha DX7II synths, an Ensoniq EPS sampler and an acoustic piano. The album also features contributions from Haruomi Hosono and Kazutoki Umezu.
Listen to a "megamix" of the album.
