- An "experimental pop" record featuring his own vocals, it'll come out on a new label, Other/other.
UK producer Hyetal is releasing his third album, Youth & Power, in late October.
The nine-track record arrives more than four years after Hyetal, real name David Corney, put out his last LP, Modern Worship. Corney, who originally emerged from Bristol's dubstep scene in 2009, describes his latest effort as "experimental pop music"—it includes his own vocals, the first time he's sung on his recordings, as well as live instrumentation.
Youth & Power will be the first release on Other/other, a new label that falls under the umbrella of Multiverse Music. (Other Multiverse imprints include Subtext, Tectonic and Arc Light Editions.) Corney will help curate Other/other along with Multiverse cofounder and Emptyset member James Ginzburg, who'll also use the label as an outlet for some music from his post-punk project Bleed Turquoise.
