  • The building that once housed the legendary New York club Paradise Garage will be demolished. News of the demolition spread online after a photograph of a council notice was shared on the Larry Levan fan page, which says permission for the demolition was granted in July. Located at 84 King Street in the Hudson Square neighbourhood of Manhattan, Paradise Garage was a hugely influential venue that operated between 1977 to 1987, with Levan its much-loved resident. For some time after the club closed, the building was home to Verizon Communications, a multinational telecommunications company.
