  • Fascinoma Music Weekend, scheduled for November 10th and 11th, has relocated from its original venue in Puebla to Mexico City, due to damages from last month's earthquake. It will now take place across two venues—the first is in Downtown on Friday night, where A Made Up Sound is billed alongside Loefah and others. Saturday's main event goes down at a nature reserve called Ectágono, about 45 minutes outside of Downtown. The lineup for that one includes Baltra, Call Super, Djrum, Etapp Kyle, Sassy J, Peanut Butter Wolf and a back-to-back set from Hashman Deejay and Neo Image. All profits from the event will go to Comunal, an organization that unites "architecture and engineering in order to generate a technological innovation for building systems using regional materials to benefit local communities." Together, Fascinoma and Comunal will take on the long-term project of rebuilding the venue in Metepec, Atlixco, which was hit particularly hard by the September 19th earthquake. The organizers explained the venue change in a statement: "The unfortunate events of last month gravely affected our dear community in Metepec-Atlixco, Puebla, which up until then had been the festival's home. In spite of that, we have worked arduously to keep the spirit of Fascinoma alive, as a proof of the commitment we've made to our followers. We've decided to transport the experience to Mexico City for the occasion." Read RA's review of Fascinoma's 2016 inaugural edition.
