This Saturday 27 September two of Sydney's most respected DJs Ken Cloud and Simon Caldwell will be playing back-to-back at Superpeople. Well known in Sydney as two of the team behind Mad Racket, Ken and Simon have each played locally and internationally amongst the world's finest underground innovators including Metro Area, Swag, Herbert, Steve Bug, Recloose, Tom Middleton and many more.
Since Superpeople is about the fusion of jazz and dance, this Saturday Ken and Simon's deep sounds will be accompanied by the sublime keys of Aaron Ottignon, widely regarded as one of the most talented keyboard players in the local contemporary jazz scene. Aaron will be improvising on rhodes and analogue synths and resident DJ Nathan McLay has a whole bunch of heavy new tunes his box to road test.
The night is also the launch of butter smooth new Georg Levin album out on Berlin label Sonar Kollektiv. In association with Creative Vibes we'll have Sonar Kollektiv and Jazzanova Compost Records prizes on the night for best Scuba stories. Bring your snorkel!
The night starts from 9pm and goes through until 3am, at CBD, 52 King St, Sydney. Entry is FREE.
