- The Dutch producer's second LP drops in January.
Ekman will release his second album, Primus Motor, on Shipwrec in January.
The label says the new eight-track LP from the Dutch producer, born Roel Dijcks, is a return to the sounds he established across releases for Bunker and Berceuse Heroique, but with a darker tone. "Suffering stalks this first full vinyl album," the press release explains. "Sinister sounds encircle the eight offerings, hovering like vultures over inhospitable plains of ashen grey, jagged peaks and dark sweeping swamps."
It's Dijcks' fourth release on Shipwrec, following three EPs, Heimwee, Synaptic Feedback Loops and Sturm Und Drang / First Mover, the latter released earlier this year. Primus Motor is his second full-length, following M.S.P., an electro-leaning effort released in 2013.
