  • Mark Grusane's The Real Sound Of Mark Grusane is out soon on BBE. The LP is the Chicago digger, DJ and dealer's third collection for BBE. While the two previous, The Real Sound Of Chicago (Underground Disco From The Windy City) and The Real Sound Of Chicago & Beyond: Underground Disco & Boogie, hewed close to Grusane's Chi-Town roots, this latest collection includes music released by Canadian (Daniele Patucchi) and French (Yan Tregger) labels, as well as a cut from the The Island Music Makers originally issued on Carnival Cruise Lines' in-house imprint. All but two of the tracks are edited by Grusane. Grusane, long known for his now-defunct Chicago shop Mr Peabody Records, has had a busy year as a DJ, with frequent gigs in North American and Europe as well as his debut Australian tour. Listen to a 22-minute preview of The Real Sound Of Mark Grusane.
