  • A new reissue series presents Trax Records Chicago house classics on 7-inch vinyl, some for the first time. The Boston-based reissue label Get On Down is handling the set, which looks over four of the most enduring Trax singles ever released. The four 7-inches, out in April, include Adonis's No Way Back, Mr. Fingers' Can You Feel It / Washing Machine, Marshall Jefferson's Move Your Body / Drum Your Body (AKA the "House Music Anthem") and Frankie Knuckles' immortal collaboration with Jamie Principle, Baby Wants To Ride / Your Love. While Get On Down has pressed the 7-inches with labels resembling the classic red Trax Records stickers, there are notable changes from the original mid-'80s releases. Mr. Fingers' "Can You Feel It" was originally the A2 on the 1986 Washing Machine 12-inch. Here, it's the A-side, with the third track from the original, "Beyond The Clouds," left off. Also, the Larry Heard (Mr. Fingers) tracks, as well as the Adonis and Jefferson cuts, have not previously appeared (in original form) on 7-inch vinyl, though "No Way Back" was pressed as a B-side to "Do It Properly" on a London Records-licensed 7-inch. Listen to Frankie Knuckles' "Your Love."
