Jochem Peteri, AKA Newworldaquarium, will revisit his 154 alias on a new 12-inch for Boomkat Editions.
The 22-minute release is his first 154 record since his now-classic 2004 LP for Delsin, Strike. Boomkat says the new one was "crafted in one improvised take," and draws inspiration from the birth of his second child for a record that goes "beyond the smoked-out introspection of Strike and [Newworldaquarium's] The Dead Bears albums... replacing his earlier work's sense of detachment with transcendent feelings of intimacy, happiness, love."
Peteri himself says, "This one is about family."
The 12-inch, out this week, is part of the Boomkat Editions' 12x12 series which has recently included records from Kara-Lis Coverdale and Terre Thaemlitz.
