- The album is named after the Dutch holiday park where it was recorded.
Betonkust & Palmbomen II will release an album via Dekmantel next month.
They recorded Center Parcs using only hardware, while staying in a holiday park of the same name during the winter off-season. The park's environment influenced the album's general mood. "Originally built in the '70s," the label writes, "Center Parcs De Eemhof in Zeewolde provides a pseudo-tropical environment for vacationing families, with an ageing, ersatz jungle, its faux decor gradually fading to grey."
Dekmantel describes it as "esoteric-electronic-pop" influenced by I-F and Cocteau Twins. It's their third release together, following an EP for 1080p and another for Pinkman.
