  • Max Richter will look back on his 2004 landmark album The Blue Notebooks with two different reissues from Deutsche Grammophon. The album was recorded in response to the 2003 US invasion of Iraq. A mix of contemporary classical and electronics, it was narrated by the actress Tilda Swinton and went on to be used in films such as Arrival, Shutter Island and Waltz With Bashir. The new version will come with a second disc featuring brand-new arrangements, remixes from Jlin and Konx-om-Pax and an unreleased track called "A Catalogue Of Afternoons," FACT reports. It will come on CD and vinyl in May with a deluxe hardcover version featuring a notebook and another new cut, "Cypher," following in June. Read an interview with Max Richter by RA's Holly Dicker.
