  • Orbital are putting out a new album this September, titled Monsters Exist. The album, to be released on September 14th, is Paul and Phil Hartnoll's first proper studio LP since 2012's Wonky. (That same year, they also provided the score for the movie Pusher.) Two years later, in 2014, the brothers announced Orbital would be parting ways after 25 years, only to return with a new single, "Kinetic 2017," last year. "When you haven't made an album in five years it just comes tumbling out," said Paul Hartnoll. "You don't need to spell out who the monsters are. We're not pointing our fingers at Donald Trump or Kim Jong-un. It's clear who the monsters are. I've never liked preaching to people." John Greenwood, who designed the cover artwork for a couple early Orbital records, is also back to provide the album art for this record. Monsters Exist will be available as double-LP and CD packages, a four-LP boxset and on digital formats via ACP Recordings. Orbital have a number of gigs lined up this summer, including headline slots at Beat-Herder, Dekmantel Fesitval and The Beatyard, plus a live show in Kent. Watch the video for "Tiny Foldable Cities."
