  • François K will headline a show at Contact in Tokyo on June 26th to mark ten years since the closing of Space Lab Yellow. The night will pay tribute to the legendary Japanese club, which closed in 2008 after a 17-year run that saw house and techno luminaries like Frankie Knuckles, Derrick May, Kerri Chandler, Larry Heard, Danny Krivit and Theo Parrish step into the booth. Following the penultimate party with Laurent Garnier, François Kevorkian was tasked with playing the closing set at Yellow, an event which lasted more than 30 hours. The site later became eleven, a club opened by former staff members, which shared much of Yellow's musical leanings but ultimately closed in 2013. Contact have invited the New York DJ back to Shibuya to commemorate the famed venue at a night called "Back Together Again." Local producer Yoshinori Hayashi will be on support in the club room, while the bar will be soundtracked by Tadashi Yabe and LIL' MOFO & CHANGSIE.
