  • Los Angeles music company Output has released a new software synthesiser called Arcade. Arcade takes a different tack than most plug-ins. It's directly connected to a cloud-based bank of loops and samples, which can then be manipulated with an interface designed for putting your own spin on the source sounds. The cloud is updated with new content on a daily basis and samples can be searched and loaded directly within your DAW, removing the need for large folder systems or browsing external websites. It also works offline and you can use your own loops, too. Arcade costs $10 a month, but it's free for the first 100 days. Learn more about Arcade in this walkthrough video.
