- Newly pressed copies of Heathen Earth, Mission Of Dead Souls and Journey Through A Body will hit stores in September.
Three new reissues from industrial pioneers Throbbing Gristle have been announced.
The albums were recorded between 1980 and '81—their last two years as a band before breaking up and eventually reforming in the mid-2000s. Heathen Earth, which comes with a new book of photographs and 11 digital bonus tracks, was recorded in one take with a small audience at a live studio session. Mission Of Dead Souls is taken from a performance at San Francisco's Kezar Pavillion, inside of Golden Gate Park. Journey Through A Body, recorded in Rome, was commissioned as a piece of "radio art" by Italian national radio broadcasters. The reissues will arrive September 14th on Mute Records.
These three records are part of an ambitious reissue campaign that Mute Records announced last year to coincide with the band's 40th anniversary.
