The German festival's label is putting out a pair of releases in early August, to coincide with the start of this year's event.
The label will put out a four-track, double-vinyl compilation and a Jane Fitz tape, both on August 3rd—the first day of this year's festival at Bungalowdorf Olganitz.
The Nachtdigital Flex compilation, which gets its name from the title of this year's event, follows on from a format established in previous years: Each artist is enlisted to "tell a story" with an untitled side-long track, measuring up to around 24 minutes in length. This year's contributors are the KANN label crew, Johanna Knutsson, Nachtdigital crew member Vai and the duo of Manuel Stallbaumer and Stefan Schmidt-Dichte (AKA Perm).
Fitz's Nachti Ambient Tape #1, a recording of part of her appearance at Nachtdigital 2017's Ambient Stage, inaugurates a new series dedicated to that space at the festival. No tracklist is given for that set.
Earlier this year, Nachtdigital shared a full stream of a 2014 documentary about the festival.
