The Hardware corporation have taken a break between booking DJs to let us know what is on for New Years Eve and Day in Melbourne. Here's the run down:
Belfast
It's a return to clubbing nostalgia and the tunes of old at Belfast at QBH on New Years Eve. Just added to the bill last week was one of the pioneers of techno and the worlds best old skool rocker, special guest CJ Bolland from Belgium.
CJ Bolland plays alongside the pioneers of electronic music in Melbourne, such as Willie Tell, Richie Rich, Jayse Knipe, Damian Laird, Steve Robbins, Simon Digby, Rudeboy, Astroboy and others.
Sunshine People
Promising an intimate event for 3000 people, Sunshine People will be an indoor/outdoor festival at Atlantic South Warf, Shed 7 Docklands. The overseas talent flying in for the party are DJ Tiga (Canada), CJ Bolland DJ SET (Belgium), Kai Tracid (Germany), James Lawson (UK). The action will start from 9am and take place over five areas:
Planet Hardware – Techno and Electro
The Riot Arena – Trance, NRG and Hard House
Sci-Fi Rockers – Breaks, Electro, Hip-Hop and twisted funk
The MOTOCREW-ZER – House Boat on the river!
Cuban Days – Tribal and Latin Grooves
Tickets for Belfast or Sunshine People cost $39 + bf for Earlybird tickets and they're on sale now through Ticketek.com.au and selected outlets. Regular tickets for both events will rise to $46 + bf and go on sale from November 14.
