  • Scottish techno duo Clouds will release an album on Electric Deluxe in November. The three-LP Heavy The Eclipse comes in a gatefold cover that tells the story of a dystopian Glasgow 400 years into the future. "After numerous waves of social collapse," they write, "Glasgow, a once prosperous city thriving off an industry of trade and shipbuilding, had run to waste in lawless ruin. The land passed into the hands of new owners; a German-speaking conglomerate, who incorporated it into a new civic entity: Neurealm." They also launched a website that tells the whole story with maps and illustrations. Clouds worked with designer David Rudnick for the record's artwork as well as the website. It comes out November 23rd via Speedy J's label, who also released Clouds' album last year, HTID: Heaven-Sent Tekno Impakting Dancefloors, Or Hardcore Till I Die. Expect "ravaged and warped breakbeats," "wailing euphoric noise," and "post-industrial hardcore," the label says. Listen to "Parkzicht."
