- The Arabstazy collective member is following up her 2017 EP on the French label.
Deena Abdelwahed is releasing her debut album next month on InFiné Music.
The Tunisian artist will follow up her first-ever record, 2017's Klabb EP on InFiné, with Khonnar this November. Pronounced "ronnar," the untranslatable Tunisian word "evokes the dark, shameful and disturbing side of things... which highlights what we usually seek, on the contrary, to hide," according to today's announcement. On the nine-track record, Abdelwahed aims to "write the manifesto for a generation that does not seek to please or to conform, taking back control of its identity."
Abdelwahed was recently named resident at Paris club Concrete and is a member of the Arabstazy collective, who released a compilation on InFiné in May called Under Frustration Vol. 1.
