  • Giorgio Moroder will embark on his first-ever live tour in 2019. The show will feature the Donna Summer collaborator on piano, synths and vocoder, with support from live singers and a band. While the complete list of European dates are still TBA, The Guardian reports that he'll be performing in the UK on April 1st through the 5th of next year, stopping in Birmingham, London, Glasgow and Manchester. The Dublin-based magazine Hot Press has reported that Moroder will perform in the Irish capital on April 8th. (We'll update this story as more dates are revealed.) In today's announcement, Moroder explained why he's decided to finally perform live at 78. "Back in the days it was unthinkable for producers to ever leave their studios," he said. "That territory was reserved for the singers. Today, DJs and music producers have become the superstars of popular dance music, so the time feels right, and I am so excited to be finally doing this!"
