  • Fred P will start a new label, Perpetual Sound, with an EP of his own called Evolutions. Released under his Black Jazz Consortium moniker, it includes a remix from UK house legend Mr. G and a collaboration with French producer Slikk Tim (AKA Gary Gritness). Evolutions will be the first release from Perpetual Sound, the label that will take over from the New York artist's Soul People Music imprint, which he's decided to shutter after more than a decade putting out records. They describe the EP as "steppin' jazz-tech" that's "steeped in emotion, musicality, warmth and deepness." It's out November 23rd. Read Will Lynch's interviewwith Fred P from 2014.
