  • Irish promoter John Reynolds has passed away. The founder of Electric Picnic festival died suddenly at his home on Thursday evening, according to The Irish Times. His family released a statement confirming the news: "It is with great sadness that the Reynolds family confirm the sudden death of John Reynolds of POD this evening." He was 52. In addition to starting up the popular Stradbally, Ireland, festival in 2004, Reynolds also opened POD—the most popular and influential of his clubs—in Dublin in 1993.
