  • The BBC's People Just Do Nothing TV series is getting a US remake. Amazon ordered a pilot for a reimagining of the show set in Las Vegas, as The Guardian reports. While the original show focuses on a group of hapless UK pirate radio DJs called Kurupt FM and their inner circle, the new series will take a look at hopeful DJs trying to make it in the EDM scene in Vegas. The characters will live in the suburban North Las Vegas area, comparable with the West London town of Brentford the original characters lived in. People Just Do Nothing creators and stars Hugo Chegwin, Steve Stamp, Asim Chaudhry and Allan Mustafa will act as executive producers for the new series. The original show is due to air its fifth and final season on BBC sometime in the next year. Last year, Kurupt FM signed to XL Records and released a mixtape. Watch a clip from the UK show.
