  • London will get a new venue next summer in Greenwich called Magazine London. The 3000-capacity South London space is intended to house parties, exhibitions, concerts, conferences, ceremonies and other events. The team behind Canada Water venue Printworks, The Vibration Group's Venue Lab, also plans to build a 7000-person outdoor festival and events site on the Greenwich Peninsula overlooking the Thames. International property and investment company Knight Dragon oversees all of the development on the 16 properties of the Greenwich Peninsula's "Design District" and will also be a partner in Magazine London—a "multi-million pound investment." The CEO of Knight Dragon, Richard Margree, said, "Magazine London fits superbly with what we're doing on Greenwich Peninsula: creating a new London underpinned by creativity, a community with culture and entertainment at its heart." Construction on the property will begin next month, and Magazine London is expected to open in summer 2019. In August, a 24-hour venue opened up in Canning Town called FOLD. There's no word yet on Magazine London's expected opening hours and license.
