Some great news for Melbourne house fans here! Mark Farina has been picked up by Family at Seven to play on December 27. Mark is well known for his much beloved "Mushroom Jazz" CD series on Om Records, which is best described defined by a hip-hop sub-groove with jazzy, dubby elements in the downtempo range.
His other releases such as “Connect” walks the line of San Francisco deeper and the bumpin’ funky house sound of Chicago. As revealed earlier this year by RA, his first full-length album of original work, “Air Farina” is scheduled for release on Om in October of 2003. Hopefully it is some of this new material that we'll hear during his tour.
Mark Farina plays at Family supported by the Family Music Machine. Doors will open at 10pm and entry will be $20 on the door.
