- Encores 2 is the second companion EP following Frahm's All Day album.
Nils Frahm will release the Encores 2 EP via Erased Tapes in January 2019.
While Encores 1 focused on solo piano and harmonium, part two further explores All Melody's ambient soundscapes. He recorded it through an amplified stone well he found on Mallorca.
Frahm also implies Encores completes a three-part series including Encores 1 and All Melody. "The idea behind Encores is one we had from before All Melody; to separate releases each with their own distinct musical style and theme," he writes, "perhaps even as a triple album. But All Melody became larger than itself and took over any initial concepts. I think the idea of Encores is like musical islands that compliment All Melody."
