  • Séance Centre has lined up its first release for 2019. The Canada label is compiling music by Kansas wave band Short-Term Memory recorded in the early '80s and '90s. Plus Or Minus Two contains four songs from their 1983 debut album on cassette, Every Head Needs Cleaning—available on vinyl for the first time—and two previously unreleased tracks. Séance Centre says the EP "focuses on the group's prescient dance floor DIN-sync workouts" and recalls Haruomi Hosono and Juan Atkin's Cybotron project. It arrives on January 18th. Earlier this year, Séance Centre reissued the early works of composer and singer MJ Lallo. Listen to previews of the EP.
