The funk icon's new LP will be released on February 15th.
Chaka Khan is back with a new album, Hello Happiness.
The legendary singer's first record since 2007 is produced by Switch, formerly of Major Lazer, and will arrive on his new label with Sarah Ruba Taylor, Diary Records. Its production style is said to appeal to the past and present. Khan has picked her favorite Switch-made tracks to sing over, which include moments that span R&B, "'70s New York disco" and modern minimalist grooves.
Initial details about the album and its production began to appear in June. Hello Happiness's first single, "Like Sugar," appeared last summer on Record Store Day. Listen to it below.
