The co-owner of the jazz and dance venue says they're "unable to operate within the Peckham Levels project anymore."
The Peckham space made the announcement in a press release and Facebook video today, with co-owner and programmer Russell Porter saying, "Sadly we're unable to operate within the Peckham Levels project anymore."
Ghost Notes, which opened in December 2017, is located on the fifth floor of the South London carpark that also houses popular spots Frank's Bar and Bold Tendencies. (The club's sister restaurant, WILDFLOWER, is also leaving the complex.)
The venue's team assures that the Ghost Notes project will continue "to promote the South East London Jazz scene by taking Ghost Notes out of its current physical space and turning it into an events brand."
For its final run of events, Ghost Notes is hosting a mix of its usual programming, such as the Balamii series, and special parties with "secret guests." Andy Blake, Champagne Funk, Colleen "Cosmo" Murphy, No Bad Days and Neil Cowley also feature on the closing agenda. "The Last Dance" is on February 23rd. Check out full listings here.
