  • Make Noise has announced a new Eurorack module. The QPAS is a four-core, stereo, analogue filter giving you four resonant peaks and filter types simultaneously. Apart from the usual low, band and high-pass filter types, QPAS provides a so-called "smile-pass" filter whose response changes depending on the cutoff frequency and other settings. Two Radiate controls are on hand for spreading two of the four peaks to different frequencies, which emphasises different parts of the sound and livens the stereo space. Divided into left and right, the two Radiate parameters can also be modulated, meaning you can move shifting filter peaks around the stereo field. Both sides also contain a !! input for adding even more modulation. QPAS also places a VCA before the filter circuitry, which lets the filter peaks ring on after the initial sound has stopped. It also provides the ability to route the sound in mono to stereo, stereo to mono, mono to mono and stereo to stereo combinations. The QPAS is available now for $379. Watch a demo.
