  • A new record store is setting up shop in Paris. Dizonord is located in the north of the French capital and run by DDD Records founder Xavier Ehretsmann and independent dealer Vincent Privat. It'll sell a mix of secondhand and new releases, with genres spanning French boogie, zouk, field recordings, disco, new age, house, club 12-inches and more. The shop will also have a cafe and nonprofit bar, as well as host a mix of events. There will be educational workshops aimed at children and meetings, screenings, live performances and DJ sets for the older set. Privat tells Resident Advisor three adjectives to describe Dizonord's vibe are "open-mindness, cosiness and fun." Dizonord is officially opening this weekend, on Friday, February 8th, with a two-day grand opening event. Zaltan, OKO DJ, DJ Sundae, Joakim, Marion Guillet and many more are set to play the launch party, with Ron Morelli and Krikor down for a back-to-back set.
