- The LP explores '60s and '70s psychedelia, soul, ambient, electronic and field recordings.
Bibio, real name Stephen Wilkinson, has announced a new LP for Warp Records.
Ribbons, set to arrive April 12th, takes an acoustic-led approach, featuring mandolins, fiddles and other stringed instruments, while taking inspiration from British, Irish and US folk styles from the '60s and '70s. The music is also said to pay homage to soul artists like Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Sharp.
Ribbons is one of many records Wilkinson has released on Warp over the years. We last saw him in 2017, with his ambient album Phantom Brickworks.
Listen to the LP's first single, "Curls."
