MUTEK Montréal expands to six days for 20th anniversary edition

  • MUTEK Montréal is turning 20 this year. To celebrate the milestone, the festival for electronic music and digital arts has extended its programming from five to six days. The first 20 acts have also been revealed, with slots for Blawan, GAIKA, Huerco S, Beta Librae, Nkisi, Call Super, Sebastian Mullaert's Circle Of Live and Rrose, who will team up with Lucy as The Lotus Eaters. Other highlights include John Tejada and Reggie Watts performing as Wajatta for the first time, plus Québec and Canadian artists such as Project Pablo, Akufen and The Mole. MUTEK, which began in 2000, has since expanded to four continents, with six satellite cities in total. This year's MUTEK Montréal runs from August 20th through 25th.
