Mr. G is setting the record straight over a Roland preset drum kit.
The "Mr. G Kit" can be found on the Japanese giant's TR-8S drum machine, released in March last year. The UK house producer, real name Colin McBean, has had messages assuming it was an official collaboration, according to his representatives, and is distancing himself from the product.
"This ain't cool," McBean wrote in an Instagram post next to a photo displaying the "Mr. G Kit" preset. "I gave no permission for this, it's not official and I haven't been asked. When I work with a company, I do it because it's right and something I use!"
