  • Pressure is putting out the new EP from JK Flesh, AKA Justin Broadrick, on May 24th. The label, run by UK artist Kevin Martin (The Bug), says that "In Your Pit" features "three tracks of the slowest, heaviest, dread techno you are ever likely to hear," along with a remix from Martin himself. The two artists' relationship goes all the way back to 1989, when Broadrick's band Godflesh appeared on a compilation from Martin's label Pathological Records. Since then, they've worked together in collaborative projects such as Ice, Techno Animal, The Sidewinder and more. "Justin again redefines absolute heaviness, but in a club format," says Martin, "as he gets sociopathic with his homicidal riffs and deep space explorations. I virtually begged Justin to let me release 'In Your Pit.'" Both producers are in the midst of busy years. Martin released an RA-Recommended new LP from his King Midas Sound project and has a solo album under his given name on the way via Room40. Broadrick, meanwhile, has put out two split releases, including one with dubstep producer Goth-Trad, and released an acclaimed album last year. Listen to "In Your Pit."
