  • Ciel's next EP, Why Me?, will come out on Ghostly International sub-label Spectral Sound in one month. "I was dealing with a lot," the Toronto DJ and producer says about the context for these four tracks. "Anger, despair, paranoia, feeling unjustly targeted." They're harsher than her usual "soft-touch slammers," she continues, "but they also have elements that are really beautiful about them. I wanted to communicate that nothing is permanent, that there's always hope for understanding and resolution." Two of the tracks on Why Me?, her first release for Ghostly's club-oriented sub-label, feature occasional collaborator Colin Sims, AKA Wiretapping.
