- 50 Locked Grooves is out this week.
Joy Orbison, real name Pete O'Grady, has supplied 50 vocal loops for the next instalment in Poly Kicks's 50 Locked Grooves series.
"Joy has always had an amazing ear for a vocal sample and this record contains 50 loops of total killers, many of which are from his most-loved tunes," write label heads Ed and Tom Russell (AKA Overmono). O'Grady is the third artist to contribute to the series, following Haroon Mirza and Truss in 2016. The 12-inch is out today through the Poly Kicks Bandcamp.
50 Locked Grooves is the third release on Overmono's label this year. In January, they put out a two-tracker by Glyn Hendry, followed by a cassette of a live Overmono set recorded in Japan.
