  • DJ Seinfeld will kick off his new label, Young Ethics, with his first EP in over a year. Due out May 17th, Galazy sees Armand Jakobsson "hurtle" his "breakbeat style into space," according to the press release. It features four new tracks from the Swedish producer, who will use the new imprint to focus on his own releases. "My label is not intended to be a response to the many ethical dilemmas the industry and the individuals within find themselves in," Jakobsson says. "My suspicion is merely that at least a part of those uncertain moments stem from the maturity (or lack thereof) of the industry; indeed oftentimes it seems that it makes it up as we go along." He adds, "For the foreseeable future, I have therefore chosen to release music under the Young Ethics umbrella, as an acknowledgement of the aforementioned, but also as a reminder to myself to keep exploring." The upcoming EP follows his DJ-Kicks mix from last July, which featured mostly exclusive tracks from the likes of FaltyDL, Project Pablo, Mor Elian and Jakobsson himself under both his DJ Seinfeld and Rimbaudian aliases. He's also recently released remixes for George FitzGerald and Prospa, as well as his Sakura EP via Deep Sea Frequency last April. Listen to clips from Galazy on SoundCloud.
