Held in Peckham's Copeland Park in October, the event will focus on four different sounds: jazz, rap, bass and club.
The four-day event, dubbed Boiler Room Festival, will run from Wednesday, October 9th through Saturday the 12th at Copeland Park in Peckham, South London. Each day will focus on a different sound, starting with jazz and followed by rap, bass (dubstep, jungle, UK garage, dancehall) and club (house, techno). The lineup is still TBA and there will be no headliners, according to the press release. The entire festival, which aims to attract up to 20,000 people, will also be broadcast live online.
In addition to the festival proper, Boiler Room will be hosting satellite events throughout London from the 9th through 12th. Exact details are also still TBA.
"With our first-ever Boiler Room Festival we wanted to represent some of the most exciting music movements and underground scenes in the UK right now," said Boiler Room CEO Blaise Bellville. "Partnering with the emerging DJs, artists and collectives who are shaping contemporary club culture, and giving them the biggest stage we can."
