Hours of Thom Yorke's MiniDiscs are now available through Bandcamp.
The band decided to publish the material, recorded roughly between 1995 and 1998, after it was stolen and leaked last week. "Someone stole Thom [Yorke]'s MiniDisc archive from around the time of OK Computer and reportedly demanded $150,000 on threat of releasing it," Jonny Greenwood said in a tweet. "So instead of complaining—much—or ignoring it, we're releasing all 18 hours on Bandcamp in aid of Extinction Rebellion."
For £18, fans get 18 raw outtakes, amounting to nearly 18 hours of music and 1.8 GB of hard drive space. Proceeds will go to Extinction Rebellion, an environmental activist group responsible for non-violent acts of civil disobedience in London and beyond.
