Relapse will also reissue the duo's classic albums as Techno Animal.
Zonal is billed as a continuation of the duo's long-running Techno Animal project. Their new release features two tracks that makes their sound "corrupted, corroded, slower and lower," according to the press release, with themes of "inner and outer space." The EP comes ahead of a promised full-length to come later this year.
Relapse will also reissue Broadrick and Martin's key albums as Techno Animal, though exact details for that are still under wraps.
The duo have previously collaborated as Zonal for performances with Moor Mother, and the project actually dates back to 2000, when Martin and Broadrick released a limited CD-R on the latter's Avalanche Recordings. Martin just released an album under his own name earlier this year, along with a new King Midas Sound LP, while Broadrick has kept on strong with his techno alias JK Flesh.
