  • Psychemagik will release their debut album, I Feel How This Night Should Look, on October 11th. The duo of Danny McLewin and Tom Coveney recorded the ten tracks during a brief stint on Warner Music, shortly after forming. As such, they were able to work with a 17-piece orchestra and record in storied rooms like Kate Bush's old workspace and George Martin's Air Studios at Lyndhurst Hall. The album was shelved after the relationship with Warner dissolved, but in the decade since Psychemagik has become well-known for their DJing, edits, compilations of rare tunes, remixes—of the likes of Roisin Murphy, Noel Gallagher, Haim and Bryan Ferry—and original productions. Now, the duo will release their long-lost debut LP on their own Psychemagik Recordings. I Feel How This Night Should Look features vocals from British garage rock star Holly Golightly, Quinn Lamont Luke and Norma Winstone. The Canterbury psychedelic jazz band Syd Arthur guests on "Ghost Particle." Listen to "Valley Of Paradise," originally released in 2012, featuring the aforementioned 17-piece orchestra and a David Crosby sample.
