The Spires That In The Sunset Rise member's announcement comes with the release of a 3D music video directed by Georgia.
NYC-based artist Kathleen Baird wrote and recorded most of the eight tracks in 2018. The label cites Respire's main influences as New Guinea's indigenous flute music, Burundi's vocal music and Can. The album also features collaborations from Zach Rowden on bass, Max Eilbacher and Andrew Fitzpatrick on synths and Greg Fox on drums.
Respire follows the release of Baird's debut solo album in 2017. She's one of the founding members of the experimental folk output Spires That In The Sunset Rise. Baird will embark on a EU/UK tour ahead of the LP release, making stops in Prague, Bristol, Oslo and Lisbon among other cities.
