  • As of today, Resident Advisor will stop including numerical scores in record reviews. It's one of several changes we'll be making to the way we cover music on the site over the coming months. Our reviews will still be opinionated and critical—in other words, they'll still be reviews. The difference is that, without scores, they won't claim to grade music. We've been moving away from that style of coverage and criticism for some time, beginning with the removal of scores from event reviews a few years ago and our 2017 decision to stop our annual polls. We'll still use RA Recommends to spotlight our favourite music. One other change: New Tracks will effectively be absorbed into our single reviews section. A portion of our single reviews will be shorter than they have been in the past, and we'll use them to highlight music more quickly as it comes out, as we'd done previously with New Tracks. As of today, we will no longer add new music to New Tracks. If you have any feedback on this, feel free to email us at [email protected].
