Joy O will release a new EP called Slipping via Hinge Finger in October.
There isn't currently much information on Peter O'Grady's first new record of the year. Two of the six tracks feature the guitarist Mansur Brown, an affiliate of Henry Wu's Black Focus records. The rising South London MC and singer Keyah/Blu also appears on Slipping, as does Infinite.
The release follows 50 Locked Grooves, a DJ tool containing some of O'Grady's most recognizable loops. The last original Joy O record, 2018's 81b, also came via Hinge Finger, the label he runs with Will Bankhead.
Joy O recently put his back catalogue up on digital and streaming platforms.
