- The soundtrack is out in mid-November while the film hits Netflix November 29th.
Fatima Al Qadiri's Original Music From Atlantics is out on Milan Records/Sony Music Masterworks on November 15th.
The first solo release Hyperdub affiliate since 2017 is a 13-track soundtrack album featuring music from Atlantics, the debut from Senegalese director Mati Diop. The film, which won the Grand Prix jury award at this year's Cannes Film Festival, will be available to stream on Netflix beginning November 29th. It follows Ada, a 17-year old girl who is in love with a young construction worker, Souleiman.
Al Qadiri, born in Senegal and raised in Kuwait, is known for politically-charged, highly-conceptual releases on Hyperdub. Last year she appeared on Physically Sick 2, an Allergy Season compilation with proceeds supporting organizations like Planned Parenthood and the ACLU.
